September 9, 2016 – Gerald Glennon is the new general manager of The Kahala Hotel & Resort.  Previously, he held the same position at Halekulani. [PBN]

September 9, 2016 – The University of Hawaii at Manoa sent out an alert Thursday morning of a possible armed person coming to campus.  By about 12:45 p.m., the security alert was lifted after the suspect was found in Hawaii Kai and placed in police custody. [KHON]

September 6, 2016 – A 18-year-old Palolo man was arrested today after he was identified as a suspect in a taxi robbery in July, police said. Three males robbed the taxi driver, a 27-year-old man, at about 3 a.m. July 20 in Kaimuki, police said.[Star Advertiser]

September 6, 2016 – The Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the 58-year-old Missouri visitor, who died August 2 after being pulled out of the water at Sandy Beach, as Mark Saffell. [Star Advertiser]

September 5, 2016 – A neighborhood carpool van emblazoned with a Make-A-Wish Hawaii logo and colorful graphics, stolen September 4 from a Kahala neighborhood, was recovered Sunday night in Waipio. [Star Advertiser]

September 2, 2016 – A Honolulu firefighter was in stable condition after sustaining injuries in a 30-foot fall from a rescue basket at Diamond Head State Monument. [Star Advertiser]
