June 22–A husband and wife were taken into custody in state court Wednesday after they were each sentenced to 10-year prison terms for stealing $278,653 from the company that owns Hawaii Kai Shopping Center. The wife told the judge that the couple used the money for gambling and methamphetamine.  In addition to the prison term, the judge ordered the couple to repay the shopping center.  [Star Advertiser – library card required]
