It is a victim of its own popularity. According to this Star-Advertiser article, due to a complaint filed with the Hawaii Department of Education, the Tuesday farmer’s market at Kaiser High School is cancelled until further notice.
This means that I am going to have to whittle down what I’ve been storing for September and once we start up again, restart collecting new plants. I’m sad, but as they say, life is not like a box of chocolates, more like a “bucket of crabs.”
Hoping that HIDOE and Kaiser HS can work this one out in a manner that best suits our community, rather than through a knee-jerk reaction. Let’s wait and see. Until then, no September 2020 plant exchange.
