I recently upgraded phones from a Samsung Galaxy S series to a Google Pixel. For the first week, I hated it. Nothing was where I thought it ought to go. Now, I love it. For instance, it can do an instant transcription of whatever audio comes over the phone, including live phone calls. I imagine this would be particularly valuable to those who are hard-of-hearing.
I love the Pixel 8 even more now that Google has put out a new Android phone feature that lets users search from anywhere on their phone simply by circling the content they want to search. All they have to do is hold down the home button to activate the feature. Right now it’s available on Pixel 8 phones and Samsung Galaxy S24 series phones. The feature will be rolled out to other Pixel and Samsung phones over time. Here’s a tutorial:
