Wow, what an incredible plant exchange!

Posted on November 14, 2023

Today was windy, overcast, and at times, rainy. Still, everyone showed up with armloads of donations and ready to help set up and make the event a success. And what an incredible exchange. Ed showed up with his truckload of bromeliads and airplants, not to mention beautifully ripe starfruit — enough to make a grower envious. Santa G brought boxes of starters filled with selection galore. A regular brought apple banana and shared the crop with everyone. Wow!

These exchanges remind me of how good people are. It’s sometimes amazing to me how if you let people be their best, they rise to the occasion. Here are a few pictures from the exchange. No one has to direct common sense and creativity. I’m loving the displays, signage and of course, the actual peanut sample.

Mahalo everyone. I had a wonderful time today.
